Sporting Kansas City’s tea towel has been signed to become the new official jersey for the MLS1 preseason, according to Sporting KC head coach Peter Vermes.

“I’ve got a couple things that I’d like to share with you,” Vermes said during his weekly radio appearance with Sporting Kansas’ Head Coach Steve Nicol on WKCX in Kansas City, Kansas.

“I’d like the fans to know that there are some tea towels on our team that we have on hand for our players to use.”

“One of the things we wanted to do was bring our players some tea towel that they can use on the field, so that we can have some tea and be able to use the tea towel to soak up some water.

I can’t speak for our coaches but I think that the fans are going to love the idea that they’re getting a piece of the team that they support.”

The tea towel is a popular item on the team’s team merchandise line and is one of many unique items available.

Vermes also shared that Sporting KC is in the process of acquiring some tea from the local market and that it will arrive at Sporting Park on Wednesday, October 11.

According to Sporting Kansas, the tea towels will be available at the Sporting Park shop starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12.
