Turkish officials say the Turkish government is getting a $1.5 billion gift from the Amazon to build a new high school.

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced the donation Monday, with Prime Minister Ahmed Davutolu saying the gift will boost Turkish education.

Davutoglu said the gift from a company owned by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was made after discussions with students.

The government also announced the construction of the new high-school in Istanbul’s Taksim Square.

The project will cost $800 million.

The government also said it plans to pay $20 million to a local NGO, the National Education Union, to help pay for the construction project.

The project was approved by Turkey’s parliament in July.

Davautoglu, who was Turkey’s prime minister from 2009 to 2015, has criticized his country’s high-handedness toward businesses, saying they should only be given tax breaks for their success.

The country is the world’s third largest economy, and has seen a surge in international investment in recent years.
