Ikea has announced that it will sell baby bath towels in the UK and Ireland at its Ikea stores, marking the latest sign of growth in the company’s UK business.
Ikea has been selling baby bath products since 2009.
It launched the product at its UK and Irish outlets in March, when it sold 100,000 towels in one day.
Sales are expected to reach 100,0000 towels by the end of April, Ikea said.
In April, the firm launched a baby bath kit, which includes a towel hanger and a washable towel rack.
The new baby bath items are part of Ikea’s plans to expand into other areas, including catering, home decor and travel.
For the first time, Ikeas US store, which sells the product in its US stores, is selling towels for the first-time since 2014.
A baby bath can be bought for £4.99 (€5.49) at Ikeas UK store, and the company said it will continue to offer its products for sale at its Irish and UK outlets.
